How To Make ..... Rustic Invitations With Lavender and Twine Bow

Make Your Own Rustic Laser Cut Invitations with Lavender and Twine Bow

This DIY invitation captures the essence of Spring and Summer Weddings.
The lavender printed border works perfectly with the laser cut outer and twine bow to create a really rustic feeling invitation.
This is one of our easiest invitations to make. The hardest thing is mastering the bow (but it's well worth the effort).
Why not give it a go?

For Each Invitation You Will Need:

1 x Doily Laser Cut Invitation in Matt Off White. (click here)
1 x Insert. (click here)
1 Metre of Fine tri colour flax cord in Grey, Blue and Natural (1 roll will make appx. 15 invitations)

Envelope. (click here)

We used the following font:
Winter Calligraphy and Century Gothic

So Here Are The Instructions……

  • Download the following template:
Type your wording in the spaces provided. Make sure you check that the spelling, grammar and layout are all correct. You will also need to check that the times, dates and locations are all included.
We used the following fonts....Winter Calligraphy and Century Gothic.
  • Print the wording onto your invitation panel.
  • Place your printed invitation panel inside the laser cut outer.
  • Measure a length of tri colour twine appx. 1 meter long.
  • Place your twine on a flat surface and place your closed invitation on top.  Make sure that your invitation is facing up and sitting in the middle of the ribbon.
  • Feed the loose ends of the ribbon to the front of the card and bring both ends in towards the centre of the invitation. Tie a knot in the centre. Place your finger in the centre of the knot and tie a second knot over the top.
  • With the loose ends, tie a neat bow, teasing into place until you are happy with the size and look. (watch our video if you are struggling to do this). Use a scissors to cut off any excess twine.
  • At each side of the card, carefully separate the lengths of string and spread it apart.

......and you've finished! Awesome!!!!
